This One's For The Children...

This is a very serious message, so all of you please listen.

There are some people living in this world
They have no food to eat
They have no place to go
But we all are God's children
We've got to learn to love one another
Just remember, they could be us
Remember, we all are brothers

I'm not trying to darken up your days
But help others in need
And show them there's a better way

This one's for the children
The children of the world
This one's for the children
May God keep them in His throne

Many people are happy
And many people are sad
Some people have many things
That others can only wish they had
So for the sake of the children
Show them love's the only way to go
'Cause they are tomorrow and people, they've got to know

I'm not trying to darken up your day
But help others in need
And show them there's a better way

This one's for the children
The children of the world
This one's for the children
May God keep them in His throne

Sue's Engagement...

To conclude my hectic week, I attended fellow BSW pal's engagement ceremony...ok ok, didn't actually witness the formal ceremony which washeld earlier during the day, me and another pal came around 4 plus. I was hoping that the whole BSW pals gang would turn up but sadly only me and another were the only ones who turned up...Nevertheless, got the opportunity to see a anotehr side of Sue - she looks different than usual, much more beautiful, WOW! Hmm...if engagement is already this gorgeous, I bet the wedding later will be even better, heee! :)

Anyways gal, Congrats to you! May you and you fiance stay happy and be blessed always, yeah :) Looking forward to your nx invite, Wedding Invitation that is! Hehe! :)

Hectic Week...So Far...

Seriously, I never really spent this so much time outside before. For the past days, I hardly spend time @ home, always out and about, never spent sooo much time like this before (excluding when I was out working and schooling), hmmm...not bad eh for someone who's unemployed...best tu best but it also means that more money spent, although I did not go on shopping spree (how I wish!), but transportation cost money too.

So what did I do for the past days? Let me give you a run down below:-

Monday

Not much, except that me and sis went to get some teaching materials @ local bookstore. Me continued with my newspaper clippings but only managed to do 3 articles as I ran out of glue and didn't buy earlier! Wasted!

Tuesday

Early in the morning I woke up and got ready for the 1st job interview of the week. The appointment's @ 10.45am but since the location is sooo much far in the eastern area od S'pore, no choice but to leave home early as I've never been there before and not sure how long the total journey may take. Initially was early but being sooo clever, I actually walked past the entrance and ended up being at the interview venue 5 mins late! Luckily, another candidate before me was still waiting to called in when I came...phew!!! The interview session didn't take too long...hmmm, maybe because there was a lot of talking so the time past by quite fast! As I left almost noon and heading back to Tampines Interchange, decided to drop by Tampines Mall to get my glue when my dearie sis msged asking whether I would like to join her @ Suntec as she had completed her work in office. So yeah, spent the rest of the afternoon out with sis getting a gift for her best friend's son's birthday.

Wednesday

Woke early again (same as Tues) for 2nd job interview which is also located in the eastern part of the island. Since today was also my Dad's birthday and taking the day off, decided to go across the causeway to celebrate. So we left early to have b'fast within the area of interview. The session took only 15 minutes! No worries, it's not a bad sign 'cause I took up the job. It's similar with what I did in my previous workplace, besides it's only for 3 hours and it's good money too for that amount of hours, heee! :P
By noon, we head over across the border and had daddy's birthday lunch. For more details, refer to my previous post :) *Ni yang buat me fed up, can't upload daddy's b'day pix...benci ah!*

Thursday

It was great!!! Why? Me and my sis brought younger cuzzins over to S'pore's only Island Resort - Sentosa! for a day of fun-filled activities under the sun! Also 2 of them does not always have the chance to go there. We had a short picnic with swimming and card games @ Silosa beach, after which we head to our 1st Imbiah Lookout - Carlsberg Tower. It was superb, great view from the top! The only setback is that it's too short - only 7 mins :( Then, we walked towards the next lookout - the Merlion. What I enjoyed most about that place is the air-conditioning, hehe! The weather was hot so it helps a lot for us :) By this time, the kiddos were already hungry so we head to the ferry terminal and had our meal @ Burger King before heading back home to mainland S'pore. Though tiring and feeling sticky, everyone enjoyed themselves very much and hope to do this again soon. Sis, if you're reading this, I'm with you with the idea of Escape Theme Park for the next outing, heee! :P

Friday

Woke up early again for the 3rd job interview. Again, the session took less than half and hour but the waiting part was long. I was slightly late due to the heavy downpour. After which, I head over to CP to get Sue's gift for this Sunday event. Didn't know what to get initially until sis came up with the idea of a vase and the first thing that strucked me was a crystal vase. Lucky for me, I was able to get one within budget and to be shared among the rest of the BSW pals....Cool! :)

Saturday

Woke up early...again! But this time to attend cousin's solemnization ceremony @ ROMM. It was a simple affair, attended by close relatives. It's a good move, especially cost effective. Although more of my other cousins didn't attend, the crowd we had was good enough. I wish my cousin and her husband happiness and may be blessed always by the Almighty, stay happy together always, yeah :)
After that, me together with my parents did something every girl enjoys most, yes it's....shopping time! :) After being locked in the imprisonment of no-shopping-due-to-extremely-low-income, finally I get to do real shopping, knowing that me will start working soon which also means constant source of income *grinzzz*. Mummy also did some shopping as well, so what did we buy? Clue: It's a must for every girl, also a passion I inherit from non-other than my dearie sis, heee! :P

Here's a sneak peak of what we bought, heee! :) *winkz*

Sunday

Who knows? Not happen yet lah...All I can give just a sneak peak of what's going to happen. Me and my BSW pals will be attending Sue's function. What's it all about, gotta check this space again soon...Heee! ;)

Happy Birthday Daddy!...

Today started off great, though earlier than I usually would start my day (maklumlah, ever since being unemployed, I don't often wake up very early, except for prayers but then, would go back to sleep! hehe! :P)...Anyways...yeah, morning-morning my dad dragged the entire family all the way to the east side of S'pore for breakfast @ his favourite spot almost everyday in the mornings where he goes for b'fast before going to work....as usual, it was hard to wake up in the morning but its actually to my benefit for having breakfast there 'cause I have an interview @ 11am located within that area as well...it's for a part-time position (once a week kind of gig), job scope similar to what I had done in my previous stinking workplace (I am so mean! hehe!)...though they will be paying quite good amount for part-time positon (1/week, 3 hours) but that's not the reason why I wanted to take it up, its more on filling up my time with more useful stuffs that will come in handy in my future job searching (resume will also look nicer, hehe!)...So the outcome? I got the job lah...'cause I was the only candididate, hehe! Actually, I have my BSW pal, Su to thank for in attaining this job...'cause she was the one who recommended...Thanks very very very much, gal! Hmmm....looks like I have to pay you back by buying an expensive engagement gift, eh? ;)

Today is also a special day 'cause it's my daddy's birthday! WooHoo! Ermm...btw, how old are you today, daddy? ;P (Anak bertuah betul, sampaikan own father's age pun dunnoe ah?!) To celebrate, all four of us headed to JB after my interview and had lunch @ Hyatt Regency Hotel...well, special occassion must eat @ special place, right?...It was great, though we didn't eat much 'cept for lots of fruits and deserts (due to the ultra-heavy breakfast we had earlier!)...Worth it ah to spend across the causeway, all thanks to the currency rates, hehe! Oh yeah, this year is a twin gift year for daddy 'cause what we had the same idea as daddy's company in terms of his birthday present this year - a wallet, 'cept that according to daddy ours suits him better 'cause the one given by his company is a bit too big for him to put it inside his pocket...so what does it mean? It means that family knows best! Hehe! :)

After lunch, we head down to Larkin Bus Terminal to tailor-make our Hari Raya 2006 clothes, of course, since we were there, me pun take the opportunity to go (while mummy and sis busy shopping for tudungs) and buy my all-time favourite which it is impossible to find it back here in Lion City 'cause already extinct - DUNKIN' DONUTS!!!! Sighz...looks like there will be gaining extras of weight in me, eh? Hehe! Nevertheless, I'll enjoy the moment of eating the donuts while I can...of course, I will share it around, silly :) So now, feeling very the tired with legs still sore from yesterday's walking around from Changi to Suntec with high heels, gotta go prepare the things for tomorrow...'cause it's going to be a fun-filled day out in a small island! To find out more, keep checking out this space, yeah? :)

Cool Rainy Sunday

What a day today....was such a nice day to just do absolutely..........nothing! Hehe! Today was such a nice cool day, with rain pouring down non-stop from noon until late evening...No thunder and lightning...is the best type of heavy downpour that I like....it makes one really extremely lazy to do things....wanted to continue with my newspaper clippings but nevertheless the weather told me not to....yeah, go ahead gal, blame it on the weather! Hehee! ;P But seriously, it was a great cool lazy day....oh yeah, just wet....wet...wet....and more wet...

To make a nice cooling day works better, Mum cooked Fried Black Sauce Bee Hoon and the taste was...hot hoT hOT HOT!!!! Well, the main ingredient was chilli padi, of course...that's why! Oh yeah, usually weather like this often makes one goes hungry all the time...and guess what? We had hot-piping prawn jemput-jemput for late afternoon tea...well, there goes my dinner!

Anyways, I had quite a blast yesterday evening. Met up with some of my classmates (not many turned up...busy lah, meeting friends las...blah, blah, blah...but kudos for those who took the time to come down, thank you very much! *muacks!*) back from secondary school for a reunion dinner @ Plaza S'pura. Supposed to have dinner @ Pizza Hut, but waddya know? They suck, suck BIG TIME!!!
Knowing that it's gonna be a group of more than 5 people and it's a Saturday, I called earlier to make reservations but was informed by the staff there that they don't take reservations...ok fine...so later in the evening met my friends went over to Pizza Hut and asked for a table for 9 people...they responded that they need the time to make the necessary arrangements as the available tables are spread out and have to re-arrange within an area, hence they said they will give me a call once ready...Ok, so me and my friends hand around within that area while waiting for their call...half an hour passed still no call so we my and one of my guy friends decided to go over and find out the status and when there we saw they were busy preparing a stretch of tables, thus thinking it's going to be for us, we just wait by side until they inform us to go in but guess what?...it was meant for another group of 12 people, whom I strongly believe came after us when asking for tables...ok fine, hoping that they already come up with something, my friend asked them and dengan selambanya they answer - "I'm sorry sir but we have not done anything about it yet. 'cause we could get the tables." OMG...felt as though someone just pulled my heart out and messily placed it back inside!!! My gal friend also came over and expressed her unhappiness...not only did they do nothing about it but they kept letting people in the entire half an hour of waiting (and still is when we left!), I mean, how do you expect to have the tables available and do something when you just kept lettinfg people in?! Fed up betul!
In the end, we decided to go upstairs to Swensens for dinner...although we couldn't get the tables straightaway, but they did look into it and we had our tables within just 10 minutes! Sigh....it wasn't a nice dinner to start with but in the end, we had fun and enjoyed each other's company and yeah, catch up on things with each other...Guys & Gals, although last night was just a small group of us, I enjoyed the time and cherished the more than 10 years of friendship we have built.....looking forward to the next reunion and hopefully it'll be more of us! Kudos all! :)

Last Night...

Last night...was a wonderful night...why?...You were there...that's why...because of You...You made my day cheery and all smiles...You...were so nice to me...being just you...took the initiative...appreciating my presence there...as I appeciate your presence there too...mmm...how I was wish it could happen again...You were different compared to previous...for the first time...You spoke to me...out of your own free will...with no pressures present...though presence of others were strong...but You cared less...as though only two of us there...You...perhaps I missed You too much...perhaps I think of You a lot...seems everywhere I go...I would think of You...looking forward to meet You again...soon...I hope...and this time...we can spend time together much longer...I hope...You...I thank You...for being there last night...and just by being...You.

Forbidden...

Forbidden
Forbidden Pleasures
Who Makes The Rules
Unfound Treasures
And Beautiful Jewels
Can That Line Be Crossed
What Could We Truly Be
And At What Cost
Do You See What I See
I Know There Is More There
Waiting To Be Found
Can You Feel How Much I Care
I Feel Like I'm Being Drowned
If You Knew The Amount Of Desire
That I Feel For You
My Burning Fire
That Wants One To Become Two
Forbidden Pleasures
Who Makes The Rules
Unfound Treasures
And Beautiful Jewels
